IMMUNOBIOLOGY: PDF OnlyPRESERVATION OF HEPATOCYTE SUSPENSIONS AT 4°CLUND, PATRICIA; WIGGINS, DAVID Author Information Metabolic Research Laboratory, Nuffield Department of Clinical Medicine, Radcliffe Infirmary, Woodstock Road, Oxford OX2 6HE, United Kingdom Transplantation: October 1988 - Volume 46 - Issue 4 - p 563-565 Free Abstract Suspensions of rat hepatocytes are resistant to hypoxia for at least 24 hr at 4°C. After storage for 24 hr with xylitol, sorbitol, or glycerol, their subsequent capacity for glucogenesis from these substrates is increased. Even storage under N2/CO2 as the gas phase has little deleterious effect. © Williams & Wilkins 1988. All Rights Reserved.
