Abstract

Dietitians should begin to examine the myriad resources available in genetics. Reliable, up-to-date information is important for managing individuals with genetic conditions. The number of resources for health professionals and the general public is substantial including those from private organizations, the biotechnology industry, universities and research institutes, and the government. The World Wide Web provides some of the most updated information on genetics advances and genetic testing.
