Initially, 1340 open-ended comments obtained from CNMs about job satisfaction and dissatisfaction were assessed. An expert panel of CNMs then rated the influence of the factors identified on job satisfaction; results were used to develop a job satisfaction instrument. A sample of 51 CNMs rated their level of job satisfaction on a 5-point Likert scale. Results indicated that all initial factors influenced job satisfaction, and CNMs are satisfied with their jobs. This project provides insight about the factors that impact job satisfaction among CNMs. Copyright © 2015 Wolters Kluwer Health, Inc. All rights reserved.
