Second annual International Day of Radiology

Friday, November 8, 2013 is the 118th anniversary of Roentgen’s discovery of the x-ray.  To honor this groundbreaking discovery, the European Society of Radiology, the American College of Radiology, and the Radiologic Society of North America are sponsoring the second annual International Day of Radiology.  The Society of Thoracic Radiology is proud to be a part of this year’s event, which is dedicated to lung imaging.

The second chapter in the series The Story of Radiology will be released, chronicling the history and innovation in radiology.  Additional, a booklet on lung imaging will be published, providing insight into diagnosis and treatment of pulmonary disease.

This year’s celebration has grown from 80 participating societies to over 110.  Celebratory events include special scientific sessions and meetings dedicated to lung imaging.
