Computer-aided diagnosis systems are increasingly being used as a “second reader” to reduce the number of overlooked lung cancers. Studies have demonstrated computer-aided diagnosis systems to be beneficial and have the potential to change the paradigm of lung cancer detection. © 2008 Lippincott Williams & Wilkins, Inc.
