Technical Tip: The Application of Supplemental Paraffin Gel to Jelonet on Wounds Under Plaster

Desiccation of Jelonet™ dressings under plaster slabs can be a cause of increased adherence and pain at dressing changes. When removing the dressing from the packet paraffin gel is left behind on the protective paper. We describe a simple method of utilising this gel leading to decreased adherence and less pain at dressing change.
