In Brief:
The neuroprotective effects of moderate epidural hypothermia and moderate systemic hypothermia (MSH) after spinal cord injury were compared. Both types of hypothermia showed better functional recovery, antiapoptotic and anti-infl ammatory eff ects, than the control group. Moreover, MSH showed most neuroprotective eff ects by antiapoptotic and anti-infl ammatory eff ects.
