In Brief:
This study stratified participants by pain duration (acute ≤ 3 months; chronic > 3 months) and randomized them to receive public (n = 80) or private (n = 80) physiotherapy. Results found no significant differences between groups in changes in functional disability, pain, quality of life, or back beliefs at 3, 6, or 12 months post follow-up, apart from SF-36 Role Physical at 12 months and patient satisfaction in favor of the private group.
