Original Article: PDF Only

This paper examines ways to contain cost in spinal cord injuries during acute care and acute rehabilitation. Reductions in cost can be attained by preventing complications from occurring. The latter can be accomplished when the nurse understands the body systems involved in the injury and plans appropriate nursing intervention.
