Since 1986, Sandi Lowery has consulted nationally for more than 300 payer and provider organizations for case management planning and operations in the public and private sectors, while managing an independent case management and life care planning practice. Sandi has served as a case management expert in legal cases involving allegations of case manager malpractice and annually trains more than 500 case managers. She has developed or reviewed more than 300 life care plans. Sandra is the Past President of the Case Management Society of America (2000–2001), a founding member and Past President of the Case Management Society of New England, Clinical Preceptor in Case Management, University of Massachusetts (1996), a member of Advisory Boards for Professional Case Management & The Care Planner Forum, a member of the Certification Board for the Certified Nurse Life Care Planner (2009–2012), nationally certified in case management and nurse life care planning.
