Mercedes Elena Camacho-Walsh, RN, MSN, FNP-BC, is a Family Nurse Practitioner and Veteran Army Nurse. She served in West Point Military Academy Medical Element Unit and Soto Cano Airbase. She is an honor graduate from the United States Academy of Health Sciences, San Antonio, Texas, and recipient of the Army Commendation Medal. She obtained her MSN at California State University, Long Beach, California. She formed a nurse practitioner-led clinic in Union City, New Jersey, which services immigrant populations. Her experience with population management in the field began during active duty military service and continues to serve populations in medical missions overseas. She is a DNP student at Saint Peter's University in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey.
