Chiu, Wai Kan BA; Newcomer, Robert PhD
Wai Kan Chiu, BA, is a 2003 graduate from the University of California at Berkeley, and has an interest in both basic science and social gerontology. Her research in immunology has resulted in three publications in the Immunological Review, Journal of Immunology, and Experimental Gerontology.
Robert Newcomer, PhD, is a professor of Medical Sociology, and has a major interest in the coordination between acute and chronic care systems, and the contribution of community services to the quality of healthcare outcomes. He published articles that include several involving case management interventions in managed care and among special populations.
