Peer Review Process

All manuscripts will be reviewed by the Editor-in-Chief (EIC), selected members of the editorial board, and other specialists as deemed appropriate. When submitting the manuscript files, authors should also provide the names of at least two potential reviewers for the submission.

Prosthetics and Orthotics International uses a double-blinded peer-review process. Manuscripts are screened for appropriate scope and content quality, then the EIC invites 2 or 3 experts on the topic to serve as peer reviewers. Statisticians are invited to evaluate manuscripts when necessary. Blinded reviewer comments are sent to the authors with the EIC's decision to accept, revise, or reject the manuscripts. Manuscripts not reviewed will be returned to the authors. Accepted articles are published online only.
