Video demonstrates a defect temporarily approximated under very strong tension, therefore a percutaneous mesh expansion (PME) of the taut tissues on both sides is performed until the tension is completely released. Small oscillations of full thickness needle pricks following the outlined mesh expansion pattern cause nicks that progressively release the tension.
