Duration: 34:23
Journal: Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery August 2016, Volume 138, Issue 2;
This video is the Keynote Address from the 50th Baker Gordon Symposium on Cosmetic Surgery, celebrating the contributions of Thomas J Baker MD. Thomas Baker is a visionary who is recognized not only as an innovator of techniques for facial rejuvenation and chemical peeling but is also revered for his contributions as an educator who brought credibility to the subspecialty of aesthetic surgery. This lecture focuses on Dr Baker's academic accomplishments as well as celebrating his foresight in forming, in 1967, the first plastic surgery educational symposium to focus on aesthetic surgery, incorporating live surgery demonstrations as an educational tool to improve the practice of cosmetic surgery procedures globally.
