The video demonstrates a lymphovenous bypass where an anastomosis is completed between a lymphatic vessel and recipient vein. The anastomosis allows the drainage of lymphatic fluid into the systemic circulation and has been proven to be remarkably effective in improving a patient’s lymphedema. Note the squares on the green silicone sheet used as a background for the operation which are each 1 x 1 mm to provide a size reference for the vessels that are repaired using this technique.
