2009 PLASTIC SURGERY SENIOR RESIDENTS CONFERENCE

The 2009 Plastic Surgery Senior Residents Conference will be held January 15 through 17, 2009, at the Hyatt Regency Austin, in Austin, Texas. The conference will provide senior residents with information essential to building their future practices, with an emphasis on practice management that includes success tips, common practice problems, mistakes to avoid, financial planning, legal interactions, and CPT coding sessions. Attendees will have the opportunity to deliver papers of scientific merit, and prizes will be awarded for outstanding presentations. Most importantly, this conference will provide the opportunity to network with fellow residents from training programs across the United States. EXPANDING HORIZONS SYMPOSIUM: NEW PARADIGMS IN AESTHETIC SURGERY OF THE FACE AND BREAST

The Expanding Horizons Symposium: New Paradigms in Aesthetic Surgery of the Face and Breast will be held January 23 through 25, 2009, at the Wynn Las Vegas, in Las Vegas, Nev. The program will address the various aspects of aesthetic surgery of the face and breast. Live patient demonstrations of the latest laser technology and advanced indications and techniques for injectables will complement this didactic program. A stellar faculty will discuss the new aesthetic paradigms in face lifts, brow lift and upper blepharoplasty, laser and fillers, structural fat grafting, aesthetic breast surgery, and rhinoplasty. AESTHETIC FACIAL RECONSTRUCTION IN ADULTS AND CHILDREN SYMPOSIUM

The Aesthetic Facial Reconstruction in Adults and Children Symposium will be held February 19 through 21, 2009, at the Omni San Diego Hotel, in San Diego, Calif. This year's symposium will cover a broad range of problems, with an emphasis on the scalp, forehead, cheek, lips and eyelids. Preoperative diagnosis, evaluation, planning, and operative technique will be presented in detail. Included will be presentations on the current understanding and approaches to keloids, human immunodeficiency virus facial lipodystrophy, VII nerve repair, melanoma, atypical skin cancers, facial nevi and hemangioma, acute burns and late reconstruction, and war injuries. Attendees are encouraged to submit abstracts for presentation. The abstract submission deadline is January 2, 2009. Abstracts are limited to a 1-page/5-minute presentation. PERSPECTIVES AND ADVANCES IN PLASTIC SURGERY SYMPOSIUM: SCIENCE AND APPLICATIONS OF FAT (THE SKINNY ON FAT)

The Perspectives and Advances in Plastic Surgery Symposium: Science and Applications of Fat (The Skinny on Fat) will be held March 15 through 18, 2009, in Vail, Colo. Faculty will focus on the “science of fat” and its use in various areas of plastic surgery, including liposuction, body contouring, breast augmentation, breast reconstruction, and injections. New technology in noninvasive components will be discussed along with patient safety considerations. There will be panel discussions and audience interaction at the end of each session. Registrants are encouraged to present difficult cases and complications for faculty and group feedback. A total of 17.5 CME credits are available for participants.
