Greetings, and welcome spring 2021! My hope is that everyone either has been vaccinated or has an appointment. The development of these vaccines in such an unprecedented short period of time is a testament to extraordinary science and scientists. Our thanks.
In this new issue, we have reinvigorated the feature “Beyond the Read.” Each issue will have an article designated for this educational program to enhance deeper discussion and reflections on the article. The Academy is partnered with APTA Learning Center for this program. The designated article will have this logo for easy identification.
The article will be the free article in each issue, thus encouraging any and all who are interested to participate in the program. Our thanks to Dawn James and committee and to Tricia Catalino for organizing and supporting this effort. Contact the Learning Center of APTA for more information and to join the program.
Our publisher recently conducted a survey of the readership of Pediatric Physical Therapy. Thank you to all respondents, although it was a rather small sample. One surprise to us was the number of readers who did not know about our social media presence on Instagram, Twitter, and our own channel on YouTube. The links to these platforms are below. These serve to expand the awareness of journal and the evidence provided. Please familiarize yourself with these platforms, and share the information with your colleagues, friends, and families; the families of the children you serve might be very interested in these features of the journal. Our social media Associate Editor, Kendra Gagnon, has developed exciting and fun ways to learn about the journal. Thank you, Kendra!
