Methods

According to the characteristics of the disease, nurses ought to observe changes of illness closely and take appropriate blood perfusion care measures timely to improve the survival rate of paraquat poisoning patients

Results

Make preparations for children, then do gastric lavage completely and continued gastrointestinal decompression treatment to reduce the absorption of paraquat and promote excretion. Start hemoperfusion treatment as soon as possible, closely observe and care during the process. Meanwhile strengthen the clinical monitoring in order to prevent the occurrence of complications. By the way, lung is the main target organs of paraquat poisoning, so nurses should focus on its observation. After the treatment and care, this child transferred to the general ward

Conclusions

There was no special drugs for paraquat poisoning. Through this case, we recognized that the lung injury due to paraquat poisoning cause respiratory and circulatory failure, and that is the main reason lead to death. Blood perfusion therapy and related care were effective measures to reduce the further damage of organ and tissue in paraquat poisoning
