Abstract

Examination of 185 low vision patients showed that younger patients generally sought improved distance vision but older patients were much more anxious to be able to read. To achieve the optimum benefits, most patients required two or more types of aid. A tabulation of the aids used is provided.

Presented at the Annual Meeting of the American Academy of Optometry in Boston, Massachusetts, 1978.

Received June 5, 1979; revision received March 4, 1980.
