Erratum

The authors are submitting this erratum pertaining to our publication “Assessing the Effectiveness of and () in the Reduction of Ecchymosis and Edema After Oculofacial Surgery: Preliminary Results” ( 2017;33:47–52).

This paper was published with no declarations of conflict of interest by any of its authors. We now understand that this was incorrect, and we submit this correction. Drs. Seiff, Kang, and Tran had no conflicts during the conduct of this study, or subsequent writing and publication of the paper. Dr. Lee was added to the Medical Advisory Board of Cearna after the paper was published. Her casual comments regarding the benefits of the Cearna product OcuMed were used by the company in advertisements prior to publication of the study, but they were used without her knowledge or permission, and without any intention on her part to formally endorse this product. Dr. Mack has been a member of the Medical Advisory Board since 2012. His endorsement of OcuMed was published by Cearna with his knowledge and permission prior to the writing of this paper. These conflicts should have been declared.

In the interest of complete transparency, the authors wish to disclose this information to OPRS and its readership. We regret any confusion that this omission may have caused.
