Excisional biopsy of the nasolacrimal duct revealed multiple noncaseating granulomas. Previously reported cases of sarcoidosis involving the lacrimal drainage system all had systemic disease, and these cases are reviewed. Our case illustrates the potential value of nasolacrimal duct biopsy during dacryocystorhinostomy. ©1988The American Society of Opthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Inc.
