WELSH, SUSAN Ph.D, R.D.; DAVIS, CAROLE M.S., R.D.; SHAW, ANNE Ph.D.
Dr. Welsh has been the Director of the Nutrition Education Division of USDA's Human Nutrition Information Service since 1985. She is responsible for assessment of dietary status of Americans based on data from USDA's nationwide food consumption surveys; leadership of a program in basic nutrition education research; and development of dietary guidance materials and activities.
Carole Davis has been Chief of the Nutrition Education Research Branch since 1984. She directs the application of research findings in the development of guidance materials on the Dietary Guidelines for Americans, food selection, preparation, storage, and food money management for use by the general public, nutrition professionals and special target audiences.
Dr. Shaw has been a nutritionist with the Nutrition Education Research Branch since 1981. She is responsible for research to develop food guides and materials and techniques for educating Americans about food and nutrition.
