Dr Dwyer is a professor of medicine and community health at the School of Medicine, adjunct professor at the Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy, and senior scientist at the USDA Jean Mayer Human Nutrition Research Center on Aging at Tufts University. She is also a senior scientist (contractor) at the Office of Dietary Supplements NIH.  She receives an honorarium for the work she performs as Editor-in- Chief of Nutrition Today.  She has no relevant grants . In the past year she served and accepted honoraria as a member of the scientific advisory boards of the Conagra Foods, the Mushroom Council, McCormick and Company’s Health Science Institute, and as an occasional consultant to Gerber/Nestle. She received partial travel expenses from the International Alliance of Dietary Supplement Associations for speaking on a panel and partial travel expenses for participation in a manuscript preparation meeting from the Bell Institute. She served as a non-paid scientific advisor to the fortification, bioactives and scientific integrity committees of ILSI North America on research issues. She holds stock in several food and drug companies. ​
