Dwyer, DSc, RD, is professor of medicine and community health in the School of Medicine and Gerald J. and Dorothy R. Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy and senior nutrition scientist at the Jean Mayer USDA Human Nutrition Research Center on Aging at Tufts University. Dr Dwyer was a member of the expert panel of a roundtable held in Washington, DC, on October 29–30, 2015. That conference was funded by the Sugar Association and planned in part by the Department of Pediatrics Section of Nutrition, School of Medicine, University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. Dr Dwyer received travel expenses and an honorarium for her participation in this conference.
