Johanna T. Dwyer, DSc, RD, is professor of medicine and community health in the School of Medicine and Gerald J. and Dorothy R. Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy and senior nutrition scientist at the Jean Mayer USDA Human Nutrition Research Center on Aging at Tufts University.
Dr Dwyer was a member of the expert panel of a roundtable held in Washington, DC, on October 29–30, 2015. That conference was funded by the Sugar Association and planned in part by the Department of Pediatrics Section of Nutrition, School of Medicine, University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. Dr Dwyer received travel expenses and an honorarium for her participation in this conference. She received no funding for writing this article or editing the papers in the Nutrition Today supplement, Sweet Taste Perception and Feeding Toddlers, funded by The Sugar Association. Dr Dwyer holds stock in several food and drug companies, serves as a consultant to Nestle Inc. on nutrition surveys, and is a member of the Scientific Advisory Board of Conagra Brands, McCormick Inc., and Bay State Milling Corporation.
