Kathleen A. Merrigan, PhD, is Assistant Professor at the Gerald J. and Dorothy R. Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy at Tufts University, Boston, Mass. Dr Merrigan was, previously, Administrator of USDA's Agricultural Marketing Service, which includes the National Organic Program.
