George Christakis, M.D., M.P.H. is president of the nutrition consulting firm, Nutrition and Health Horizons, Inc.; adjunct professor, Department of Epidemiology and Public Health, University of Miami School of Medicine; and a member of the Weight Watchers Scientific Advisory Board. He is a member of the American Institute of Nutrition, the American Society of Clinical Nutrition, and other professional organizations. He continues to consult for international public health agencies and industry.
Karen Miller-Kovach, M.B.A., M.S., R.D. is General Manager of Program Development for Weight Watchers International, Inc. She is responsible for the technical integrity of the Weight Watchers program, which is provided to approximately 600,000 people per week in 15,000 meetings throughout North America. Before joining Weight Watchers, she was director of nutrition services at The Cleveland Clinic Foundation and national spokesperson for The American Dietetic Association.
