This article critically analyzes and synthesizes healthcare system studies to explore facilitators of and barriers to design thinking.

Zahra Rahemi is an assistant professor at Clemson (S.C.) University School of Nursing. At Florida Atlantic University Christine E. Lynn College of Nursing in Boca Raton, Fla., Deborah D'Avolio is an associate professor, Lynn M. Dunphy is an associate dean for practice and community engagement, and Ashley Rivera is a PhD student.
