Feature: Participate for a chance to win an iPad Mini!
Literature on skin health has grown vastly since our sister journal, Nursing, last conducted a wound care survey in 2012 and reported the results in Nursing2014, bolstering practice guidelines and evidence nurses can use as a basis for practice.1,2 Further, the National Pressure Ulcer Advisory Panel (NPUAP), in conjunction with the European Pressure Ulcer Advisory Panel (EPUAP) and the Pan Pacific Pressure Injury Alliance (PPPIA), released an updated International Pressure Ulcer Guideline in 2014. NPUAP also released updated terminology and staging definitions in 2016, in which the term pressure ulcer was changed to pressure injury.
To help us gather new information on current skin care and wound prevention and treatment practices, please take a moment to complete the following confidential and anonymous survey. The results will be published in an upcoming issue of Nursing2019 to help you compare nursing practice in your facility with current evidence and guidelines.
You can take the survey online at www.research.net/r/SkinWoundCareSurvey, photocopy these pages and fax to 215-521-8864, or mail to Nursing2019, Two Commerce Square, 4th Floor, 2001 Market Street, Philadelphia, PA 19103. Participants will be entered into a drawing to win an iPad Mini.
