Drs. Dols, Hoke, and Rauschhuber share their research study on the outcomes of an educational innovation in which students completed online human subjects training followed by a mock institutional review board (IRB) simulation. The study demonstrated that knowledge acquisition is not enough to acquire the ethical reasoning skills needed to implement health care research.
