In addition to prostate cancer recurrence, 18F-choline allowed partial initial staging of an incidental diffuse large B-cell lymphoma which was further confirmed and staged using 18F-FDG and a biopsy. Two types of metabolic behavior were therefore identified using 18F-choline and 18F-FDG which corresponded to 2 different uptake patterns, that is, those of the prostate and lymphoma tumoral cell contingents.
