ABSTRACT ENHANCING MUSCULAR POWER IS AN IMPORTANT COMPONENT OF TRAINING, BOTH FOR ATHLETES AND THOSE TRAINING FOR GENERAL FITNESS. THE WEIGHTLIFTING MOVEMENTS ARE RECOGNIZED AS AN EFFECTIVE TRAINING METHOD WHEN THE GOAL IS ENHANCED POWER DEVELOPMENT. LESS RECOGNIZED IS THAT THE WEIGHTLIFTING MOVEMENTS CAN BE EFFECTIVELY PERFORMED WITH DUMBBELLS. THE PURPOSE OF THIS ARTICLE IS TO DESCRIBE THE TECHNIQUE INVOLVED IN THE DUMBBELL CLEAN AND IDENTIFY SOME OF THE BENEFITS THAT CAN OCCUR AS A RESULT OF PERFORMING THIS EXERCISE WITH DUMBBELLS.
