ABSTRACT VARIOUS STRATEGIES ARE USED BY ATHLETES SEEKING TO ACCELERATE RECOVERY. WHEN INSERTED DURING THE RECOVERY INTERVALS BETWEEN 30-SECOND ALL-OUT BOUTS OF CYCLING, COMPRESSION GARMENT USAGE WAS SUPPORTED, WHEREAS NEUROMUSCULAR ELECTROSTIMULATION WAS NOT, AND HUMIDIFICATION TREATMENT SHOWS PROMISE. PHYSIOLOGICAL MECHANISMS POTENTIALLY INVOLVED IN THESE AND OTHER MODALITIES ARE NOT WELL UNDERSTOOD.
