The authors of the article ‘Functional magnetic resonance imaging-mediated learning of increased activity in auditory areas’ published in the December issue in 2007 have noticed that Fig. 3b shows the response from the motor imagery task rather than the BOLD response from the auditory imagery tasks before, during and after the fMRI neurofeedback, as it should have 1.

This error is due to fact that the figure showing the motor imagery responses was mistakenly submitted as Fig. 3b for this article.

The correct figure is shown below. The authors state that there is no difference between the corrected version and the one in the published article in respect of the statistical outcome, and that the main effects observed are unchanged and remain exactly as presented in the original version. The conclusion and meaning of the work are therefore not affected.

The authors would like to apologize for this mistake.
