Temporary loss of perivascular aquaporin-4 in white matter after the spinal cord ischemic injury of rats

The Editor and Publisher have retracted the article entitled ‘Temporary loss of perivascular aquaporin-4 in white matter after the spinal cord ischemic injury of rats’ by Wang, Gu, Xu and Lv that was published last year [1]. The images in Figure 1 were not original and have been published previously in two articles in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences of the United States of America [2,3]. Dr Wang and his colleagues agreed with this action and apologize to the authors and to our readers.
