  • The Neurology Now book series is published by the American Academy of Neurology (AAN), with each title authored by at least two neurologists specializing in a particular condition or area.
  • According to Andrea Weiss, executive editor of AAN and the book series, “The purpose of Neurology Now books is to empower individuals with neurologic conditions and their caregivers by providing them with in-depth guides to ‘navigating life' with their particular disease or disorder.”
  • The series was launched in 2011 with the release of Navigating Life with Smell and Taste Disorders.
  • Now partnering with Oxford University Press, the AAN will release Neurology Now Books this fall on brain tumor and Parkinson's disease. Books are also currently being developed on stroke, multiple sclerosis, and epilepsy. Future titles may focus on sleep disorder or guides to financial, legal, or medical planning for patients dealing with a neurologic disease.
