Kirsten Dickins, Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Yvonne L. Munn Center for Nursing Research at Massachusetts General Hospital discusses findings from her brief report: “Behavioral and psychological health inequities in income disparate perimenopausal women”, which describes stark differences between income disparate and non-income disparate perimenopausal women in behavioral health (smoking, substance use history, BMI, exercise) and psychological health characteristics (depressed mood, anxiety, sleep). Next directions for clinicians and researchers invested in addressing disparities in peri- and postmenopausal women are discussed.
