The recently published manuscript “A rare case of pulmonary cysticercosis manifesting as lung cavity with pleural effusion”[1] presents a typical case of lung cystic hydatid disease (Echinococcus granulosus) as demonstrated by the radiological and histological images. It is clearly not a case of Taenia solium cysticercosis.
