This video discusses results from a study of pediatric residency program training directors across the country. This study was intended to identify perceptions of behavioral health training in pediatric residency programs, degree of involvement from behavioral health providers, and opportunities for/barriers to innovation in training. Despite substantial improvement in residency training in behavioral health over the past decade, additional improvement is needed. Barriers to continued improvement include training content, training methods, support from faculty and administrator stakeholders, and resource issues.
