Hello, JPO readers! This issue marks the inauguration of my term as Editor-in-Chief (EIC) of JPO. I am genuinely excited about assuming this role and working with the fine staff of the Academy, JPO, and Lippincott Williams & Wilkins. I would like to express my gratitude to the Academy for providing me with this tremendous opportunity to serve the prosthetics and orthotics (P&O) profession. My primary goal as EIC is to work with the P&O community—prosthetists, orthotists, therapists, physicians, and researchers—to advance our science, improve our evidence base, and better inform clinical decision making for the benefit of the individuals whom we serve. Therefore, please know that your opinion matters, and I am eager to hear your comments and recommendations for further improving the quality and content of JPO.
My arrival marks the departure of our friend and colleague, Dr David Boone, as EIC. David has provided many years of service to JPO in this capacity, and under his direction and careful attention, we have seen the quality of our journal steadily improve. We at JPO, the entire editorial board, and the production staff at Lippincott Williams & Wilkins wish David the very best in his future endeavors and thank him immensely for his dedication and service.
