2007 is now upon us, and with it comes a year of exciting changes and developments to the Journal of Prosthetics and Orthotics. We are currently endeavoring to update the submission process by streamlining our review of submitted manuscripts, in order to ensure that the process is not so overwhelming as to discourage submissions. We are also pursuing avenues that will allow JPO to increase its stature as the preeminent journal in the field of Orthotics and Prosthetics, and to provide the journal increased recognition within the greater medical community. To achieve these goals, we hope to continue to receive high-caliber articles highlighting significant research in the field of orthotics and prosthetics, as well as in related fields. We welcome submissions that demonstrate multi-disciplinary problem solving, as this helps solidify our occupation's unique role in the medical community.
A new year always brings new challenges and new opportunities, and we hope to be a part of the exciting changes occurring in our industry.
