The Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Anita Catlin DNSc, FNP, CNL, FAAN, to the position of interim Editor-in-Chief of APSNA’s Journal of Pediatric Surgical Nursing. Dr. Catlin joins the journal in its 6th year of publication.

Dr. Catlin is the Manager of Research and Redesign at Kaiser Permanente Vallejo and Santa Rosa, serving as a consultant in Perinatal Research and Ethics. Anita has worked nationally and internationally on health care policy related to pregnancy loss and perinatal ethics. She has taught research methods and ethics in the United States and abroad. She has experience in ethics research and publication, has contributed to the development of palliative care procedures in neonates, has served as a Principal Investigator and Co-investigator of multiple research projects and is the recipient of numerous grant awards.

Dr. Catlin’s expertise, experience and publications range from perinatal and neonatal populations to pediatrics, with a focus on ethics, presenting both in national and international arenas. She has served on the editorial board of numerous publications, has had several appointments as a journal columnist, invited guest editor for several journals, and reviewer. She comes to us with a wealth of editorial experience and willingness to lead the journal in its next phase.
