It is hard to believe that it has been over 2 years and we are still not fully out of the pandemic. Through all of this, nurses have remained resilient and focused during this time. I hope each of you took time out to restore yourself because so much of your time was spent taking care of others. If you do not have such resources, American Nurses Association has developed a COVID-19 self-care package of free courses that we previously provided to members of the organization. This self-care package and other useful information for mental health and wellness can be found on our COVID-19 Resources Page developed for you, the members!
You, as members of the organization, have remained committed to the care of the pediatric surgical patient and their families. You have also remained committed to the work and growth of our organization. For that, I thank you! Know that each of you are valued members and your membership is essential to helping American Pediatric Surgical Nurses Association, Inc. accomplish its goals and fulfill our 2021–2024 Strategic Plan! We need you and your continued engagement to keep this organization moving forward. An engaged membership is absolute key to ensuring that the organization has the ability to support our current offerings and develop new initiatives to meet the challenges of the pediatric surgical practice.
One of the goals of our Strategic Plan is to increase the APSNA membership by 5%. I call on each of you to help the organization reach its goal and be part of the growth of this great organization. I ask that each of you refer at least one person to become a member of APSNA. Reach out to your colleagues at work to invite them to join APSNA or renew their membership!
