Journal of Christian Nursing (JCN) accepts manuscript submissions through a submission service on another website.
JCN has specific
instructions and guidelines for submitting articles. Those instructions and guidelines are readily available on the submission service site.
Please read and review them carefully. Articles that are not submitted in accordance with our instructions and guidelines are more likely to be rejected.
JCN prefers to receive queries or complete manuscript submissions rather than emails to the editor about potential manuscripts. Submit queries using the
manuscript submission system and choose “Query” as the Article Type.
Questions about Authorship
Journal of Christian N follows guidelines set by the Committee on Publication Ethics and International Council of Medical Journal Editors for determining authorship. One of the following criteria must be met to be considered an author:
- Substantial contributions to the conception or design of the work; or the acquisition, analysis, or interpretation of data for the work; AND
- Drafting the work or revising it critically for important intellectual content; AND
- Final approval of the version to be published; AND
- Agreement to be accountable for all aspects of the work in ensuring that questions related to the accuracy or integrity of any part of the work are appropriately -investigated and resolved.

Hybrid Open Access Option
The Journal of Christian Nursing now offers authors an Open Access option for their articles. Open Access gives all readers, including those who do not subscribe to JCN, the free, immediate, full-text use of digital scientific and scholarly material from the time of publication. This option is most often selected by funded research articles, however, it is available to all JCN authors. If you elect to have your article published in this matter, you will be prompted to complete a separate form and to pay an Article Processing Fee. If you would not like your article to be published as Open Access, simply skip this step.
