doi: 10.1097/01.CNJ.0000357431.22274.f7

What has happened to nursing's legacy of relational practice?

Caroline Porr, RN, PhD (candidate), is a full-time doctoral student at the Faculty of Nursing, University of Alberta, Canada. She believes nursing embodies privileged intimacy with strangers and that this fiduciary relationship is the essence of our profession. Caroline's doctoral research is focused on therapeutic relationships. This manuscript is dedicated to the loving memory of her mother-in-law, Thelma Grace Porr.
