Linda S. Johanson, EdD, RN, is Associate Professor of Nursing at Lenoir-Rhyne College in Hickory, North Carolina, and a volunteer with a local indigent care clinic. A nurse educator since 1980, she currently teaches nursing research, pharmacology, leadership, personal health, and adult health clinical. Linda designed a study abroad course and takes a group of nursing students yearly for service work to the Yucatan region of Mexico. She attends Morganton First Church of God.
