This video demonstrates the open reduction and internal reduction of multiple rib non-union fractures as well as an Iliac Crest bone graft aspirate for healing.
Creator: Eben A Carroll, MD
Duration: 10:46
This video highlights the surgical technique for an exchange nailing of a hypertrophic femoral shaft nonunion with associated varus deformity. In this particular case, the patient was placed in a lateral decubitus position to facilitate access to start site, and blocking screws were utilized to guide the upsized nail into a more anatomic position and correct the varus deformity.

This video highlights a reproducible technique for restoring coronal plane alignment by leveraging the volar locking plate in an indirect reduction maneuver. After anatomic reduction of the articular surface and insertion of the distal row of locking screws, freer elevators are used to translate the proximal end of the plate in an ulnar to radial direction, which indirectly reduces the metaphyseal component of these fractures.
