What do Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Pixar Studios, listservs, disposable cameras, Microsoft's first stock offering, the Super Soaker, the I have a Dream speech, Pictionary, Matchmaker. com, and the Journal of Physical Therapy Education have in common? All of these wonderfully creative contributions to our modern culture debuted in 1986 and are celebrating their 25th Anniversary this year!

We will mark our 25th anniversary with a special logo on our cover throughout the year and honor all the editors, reviewers, and authors who have come before us by doing the best possible job that we can to produce the very best possible journal.

We are happy to welcome several new people to our editorial board. Joining us this year are:

Dennis Fell, PT, MD, University of

South Alabama

Suzanne Gordon, PT, PhD, MA,

Husson University

Lorna Hayward, PT, EdD, MPH,

Northeastern University

Yocheved (Yochy) Laufer, PT, DSc,

University of Haifa

Laura Lee (Dolly) Swisher, PT, PhD, MDiv, University of South Florida

We also want to send our deepest thanks to our colleagues who are stepping down from the editorial board. Our thanks to Jim Gordon for reminding us of the importance of clear standards for physical therapy education; to Cecilia Graham for always being willing to say yes to more work to help meet the Journal's needs; and to Karen Hayes for her attention to detail and her carefully mentoring of first-time authors. We will miss your influence and participation!
