In Brief:
Healthcare workers’ mental health is severely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. In this study, 63.8% displayed severe posttraumatic stress, 51.7% depressive symptoms, and 79.3% emotional exhaustion. Some risk factors were caring for patients who were severely ill/dying and using rumination, thought avoidance, self-isolation, emotional expression, and self-blaming as coping strategies.
